Surf culture

 

Film director Peter Viertel introduced surfing to France in 1956 after perceiving the waves of the Basque coast. Joël and Arnaud De Rosnay contributed to the development of surfing in BIARRITZ at the Côte des Basques with four other grand surfers: Barland, Rott(long board makers) Jo Moraïz and Reinhardt .
